Teva receives the Equality 100 award on Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Annual Scorecard Assessing LGBTQIA+ Workplace Equality

Teva USA is proud to have received the recognition of Equality 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index, the nation's premier benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQIA+) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. Teva was among the 545 employers who achieved a top score of 100 earning the coveted “Equality 100 Award”.

Teva is committed to supporting an inclusive culture and to making people feel welcomed regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation -- from policies and practices that protect and benefit LGBTQIA+ workers to our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) which foster community, development and networking opportunities.

“The LGBTQIA+ community faces unique challenges in being accepted fully in many aspects of everyday life.  To know that we work for a company that strives to create an environment of full inclusion for its LGBTQIA+ employees is something for which we are very proud.  Thank you to the hard work of many individuals, the CEI score is a testament of the commitment Teva has made to its employees and something to be celebrated, particularly with the ever evolving and expanding requirements to earn such distinction.” Says Kevin Galownia Executive Sponsor of the Pride Employee Resource Group and VP Pricing Ops at Teva.

The HRC Foundation is the educational arm of the America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender and queer people. HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work and in every community.

Each year, HRC adds new questions and requirements to the CEI, necessitating continuous evaluation and evolution of LGBTQIA+ policies and activities to obtain a perfect score. Teva’s achievement of this distinction reflects the diligence of multiple functions in updating and advancing Teva’s activity in support of the LGBTQIA+ community, including policies in supplier diversity and nondiscrimination, and actions taken to recruit a more diverse workplace.

Teva was among many companies that received a top score in the 2023 CEI report, which rates companies on non-discrimination policies, employment benefits, demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQIA+ diversity and inclusion, public commitment to LGBTQIA+ equality and responsible citizenship.

Dr. Steven Thomas, Director, Inclusion & Diversity, NA at Teva says, “We are extremely proud to have received this honor and see this as further evidence we are making progress in creating fully welcoming workplaces for our LGBTQIA+ employees. Teva is dedicated to equal opportunity for all employees, and we greatly appreciate this recognition of our efforts."
