Teva Diversity & Volunteer Day

Teva Commemorates National Day of Service with Employee Volunteer Event & Diversity Drive.

Teva recently held its Inclusion & Diversity Day, which was commemorated with a membership drive to raise awareness of the Company’s nine Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and a community service project at our Parsippany headquarters.

In honor of our commitment to contribute to healthy communities, employees volunteered to join our long-time partner Direct Relief to assemble 500 Disaster Relief Personal Care Packs that contain enough supplies for a family of four.

When a disaster strikes, people are often forced to flee their homes and evacuate, leaving behind critically-needed items. These kits are highly requested by shelters and those displaced from their homes following emergencies and will be distributed by Direct Relief to those people when and where they need it most.

Teva volunteer and Director of Compliance, Phebe Neely Ciulla, knows first-hand how important these supplies are to families in need as she relied on donations like this when she came to the U.S. as a refugee following the Mt. Pinatubo Volcano eruption in the Philippines in 1991. She lived for weeks on a U.S. aircraft carrier, along with thousands of other evacuees.

“Participating in today’s event was particularly special, as it gave me the opportunity to give back, and perhaps provide someone with the sense of dignity that I was given when I felt completely vulnerable", said Phebe Neely Ciulla.
